Lali Tabatadze

Lali Tabatadze, Head of the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Technology and Pharmacy, Sokhumi State University, Professor. Born in Georgia, in Sokhumi in 1960.
• In 1982, he graduated from Abkhazian A.M. Gorky State University with a degree in Chemistry and Biology.
• On 11/02/1998, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic: “Synthesis and Biological Activity of 2-Deoxyaldo-Pentose Products” and was awarded the qualification of Candidate of Chemical Sciences - 02.00.10 Bioorganic Chemistry, Chemistry of Natural and Physiologically Active Substances.
• On 23/12/2002, by the decision of the Council of Professors of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor.
• In 2006 - 2025, he was an Associate Professor of the Chemistry Department of Sukhumi State University.
• In 2008-2013, he was the head of the Master's Program "Expertise of Food Products and Medicinal Products".
• From 2014 to the present, a member of the Chemistry Sectoral Commission of the Dissertation Council of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Technology and Pharmacy of Sukhumi State University.
• From 2015 to the present, scientific supervisor of 11 master's and 2 dissertation theses.
• 2019.12.06. Member of the Dissertation Council, Iv. Member of the Chemistry Sectoral Commission of the Dissertation Council of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the M. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Scientific research topics: Synthesis, condensation, modification and research of biologically and physiologically active new types of allyl thio-, bromo-, nitroso- and silicon derivatives. Ecologically clean, safe for health products synthesized on the basis of carbohydrates have direct application in biology, medicine, agricultural bio- and nanotechnologies, environmental protection and industrial technologies. The results of research conducted by Lali Tabatadze are systematically published in journals registered in both Georgian and foreign international databases.
