The Foundation’s mission is to support innovative, international standards high quality scientific research development in Georgia and integration of Georgian researchers and young scientists in international research area.
The Foundation’s main priorities are:
- Improving quality of scientific research
- Internationalization of research
- Promoting young scientist development
The Foundation organizes calls for proposals, targeted programs and projects, and is involved in international scientific networks and joint projects. The Foundation administers 27 programs, out of which, there are 19 national, five international bilateral programs, and three multilateral projects under the EU Framework Program. All programs of SRNSF are implemented through the calls for project proposals on a competitive basis. Local and international independent experts carry out the evaluations.
